Dr. David Xiao Bai, Dr. Ac., C.M.D.
David Xiao Bai (pronounced Dr. 'bye') has been practicing acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine for over two decades. Dr. Bai has two degrees in TCM, a bachelors and masters, from the Hunan
University of Chinese Medicine (formerly known as Hunan College of TCM) in
Changsha, China. Dr. Bai completed his TCM residency in China and then worked as a TCM physician and instructor
at the First Affiliated Teaching Hospital of Hunan University of Chinese Medicine.
Dr. Bai also holds a masters in Applied Psychology from the
University of New Brunswick. Dr. Bai is currently a member of the Interim Council of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture of Ontario, the regulatory body for TCM in Ontario.
Dr. Bai has a strong family history and passions for medicine and TCM. Both of his parents were medical doctors at a
provincial hospital in southern China. His father was a renowned cardiologist
and director of the Internal Medicine Department, and his mother served as a chief
physician at the Department for Infectious Diseases. Dr. Bai is married to Dr. Linda Xu.
Dr. Bai specializes in infertility, gynaecology and geriatric medicine. He studied under the late Professor
Tan Riqiang, a well-known TCM internist, gynaecologist, and the first President of the Hunan University of Chinese
Medicine. Dr. Bai is happy to be practicing with the strong team of doctors at Total Wellness Centre in Toronto.
